Well, yesterday was interesting. Tennessee almost blew up everything. They should have lost that game 4 different ways. They've lost all my confidence. Western Kentucky played the way everyone wants their team to play - put the game away early so you can relax. This afternoon, Novak Djokovic was up in the first set 4-2 and his opponent retired due to a leg injury. Who cares. I'll take it. All that means is we cash the ticket earlier. Our new balance is $273.81.
For today, there's one parlay: college football and tennis.
- Parlay 1 ($30 to win $11.44)
- Stanford Cardinal (-500) vs. Kansas State Wildcats
- Nevada Wolfpack (-1600) vs. Cal Poly Mustangs
- Angelique Kerber (-1200) vs. Catherine Bellis
Here's the reasoning for the picks. First, of course, home favorites. Stanford plays Kansas State. Christian McCaffrey, who finished third in Heisman voting last year, leads a solid offense of playmakers. They lost Hogan at quarterback but Stanford can't afford to lose this game with three ranked PAC-12 opponents following this game. Kansas State's defense last year allowed close to 450 yards a game due to injuries, but how much better could it get. Kansas State has a history of upsets, which makes me nervous, but we're up, so play on. Nevada plays Cal Poly, an FCS team. Nevada paid Cal Poly just over $300 grand to have them play them. This should be a W. Angelique Kerber plays Catherine Bellis. They have no playing history, but Angelique Kerber is the number 2 ranked player in the world and played in both the Wimbledon and Australian Open finals against Serena Williams this year, winning the Australian Open. She's having her best year as a professional.
Let's see what happens.
